Criteria for Deposits :
● Individuals, corporations and government officials
● Deposit as unit. One unit is 100 baht
● A copy of an identification card is required (for individual)
● Deposits open at all Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives branches. Deposits close on every 16th of the month
Deposit Interest:
● Deposit made until 3 years maturity period will receive an interest rate of 2.50 baht per unit, calculated as 0.83 baht per year
● Premature withdrawal will not earn any interest
● A discount of 2 baht per unit is deducted from the lottery savings value for deposit made less than 3 month
Benefits Received :
● Eligible for prizes throughout the deposit
● Tax exemption granted for cash prize for the individuals
● Deposit interest is tax exempted for the individuals who are first holders
● Use as loan collateral at Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives branch where deposit is made
● Use as bank guarantee
● Use as collateral, insurance contract and bank procurement
● Use as insurance to bail the accused under the investigation by the police or prosecutor in court
