Mr.Apirom Sukprasert, BAAC President, Mr.Prasong Prapaitrakul, General Director of Rice Department, Mr.Somsak Ma-ou-thorn, Senior Vice Chief Executive Officer of Saim Kubota Co., Ltd.,  join hand in hand for signing MOU regarding “Zero-Burn Agriculture for Rice Production” on 10th July 2019 at
Hotel Miracle Grand Convention, Bangkok, Thailand.

The objective is to invite stakeholders to collaborate to mitigate air-pollution problems so that small particles PM2.5 derived from burning paddy-straw from rice processing are eliminated. Campaigns will be launched  in order to persuade farmers to be aware of benefits of having organic compound in soil by doing agriculture without burning straw after processing or utilizing agricultural waste or materials to further their income.

As being parts of the program, low-interests loans from BAAC will be offered to farmers for procurement of modern agriculture-machinery. 
In addition agricultural know-how training will be provided in local areas so that farmers lean how to practice agriculture in more efficient and sustainable manners.
