BAAC launched "School Bank Camp, Realize Young Financiers dream"

BAAC supports youth savings habits. Organized Camp knowledge called "School Bank Camp, Realize Young Financiers dream" aim to fully develop the potential abilities of 462 students who perform bank school officers from every province across the country.
Mr. Somsak Kangtheerawat, Executive Vice President of BAAC has revealed that BAAC will support students and youth to encourage habit of saving money through the School Bank Project to promote saving money and household accounting practices moreover the financial and banking training to the youth in schools will be conducted to create a habit of savings. There are currently over 1,023 schools join the project with over 245,771 accounts and total deposits of 155 million baht. In fiscal year 2013, BAAC plans to expand the project to 1,200 schools.
In order to support students working as branch managers, assistant managers, financial accountants and staffs in school banks, BAAC then launched "the 2nd School Bank Camp, Realize Young Financiers dream" which has over 462 students joined the project.
The camp was held in five regions which were 16 provinces from Northern region with 96 attendants, during 1-4 August 2013 at the Imperial Chiang Mai Resort & Sports Club. For the Lower Northeastern region and the Eastern region, there were 90 participants from 15 provinces joined the program during 15-18 August 2013 at Golden Land Resort, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. For Central region and Western region, there were 102 participants from 17 provinces joined the program during 22-25 August 2013 at Chawalan Resort, Nakhon Pathom province. For Upper Northeast region, there were 90 participants from 15 provinces joined the program during 29 August -1 September 2013 at Inpawa Hotel, Khon Kaen Province. For Southern region, there were 84 participants from 14 provinces joined the program during 5-8 September 2013 at the Ruea Ratsada Hotel, Trang Province. Mr. Somsak Kangtheerawat said that the course of the camp will focus on "learning through activities" in topic of the school bank. By sharing experience of successful school banks, will encourage the participation of the students to start saving money through the bank as well as the management of the problems that may be encountered in the work, which the children can be involved and trained to do so. However, to promote the school banks, BAAC staffs will act as coaches to train and pass on knowledge and work techniques. In addition BAAC also provides equipment, devices and other facilities such as passbook, poster, leaflet, financial software and etc.
This camp has been organized in collaboration with its partners supporting the projects including Sin Man Kong Insurance, Thai Life Insurance, Tippaya Insurance, Siam Commercial Insurance, SCSMG Insurance, Navakij insurance, Nam Sin Insurance, Viriya Insurance and Saha Life Insurance.
